Problem going from 2.2.0

Just got 2.2.0 installed and I'm getting the same thing, but when I reboot
into my Fedora 7 system the file's balance is correct. I'm really confused
now. I don't have a clue as to where to begin looking. I do vaguely remember
something about character coding? Something with the OS itself, does that
make sense?
